Growing up listening mainly to gospel and contemporary Christian music, I was drawn to rock and heavy metal after my parents bought us "Rock Band 2" in 2009. In 2010, my mom got me my first real drum set, and I honed my skills through YouTube drum lessons and band classes. I remember watching Matt Greiner from August Burns Red for the first time and being determined to learn some of their songs, which helped me improve my double bass technique.

I started posting cover videos on social media in 2017, but when COVID hit in 2020, I began creating "themed" videos combining my love for metal music with gospel songs along with other covers. This skyrocketed my social media following to nearly 900k across various platforms and led to various opportunities, including signing as a Ludwig Artist, brand deals, and even the opportunity to play shows with country artist, Reyna Roberts.

    I believe the biggest enemy of growth is comparison. In this day and age of social media it's easy to fall for this trap. I challenge and encourage the next generation of drummers to look at social media through a lens of encouragement, education, and inspiration.
