My name is Simon Crahan, and I'm the drummer for VENDED. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but drumming became my way of expressing everything I couldn't put into words. What started as a passion quickly turned into a lifelong commitment to creating music, performing live, and constantly pushing myself as a musician.
Over the years I've had the opportunity to tour extensively, perform on stages around the world, and share bills with artists that inspired me growing up. Through VENDED, I've been able to connect with people from all walks of life and experience firsthand how powerful music can be. Whether it's in front of thousands of people or alone in a studio chasing the perfect take, the goal has always been the same: create something honest and impactful.
My playing is heavily influenced by aggressive, dynamic drummers who understand that groove, feel, and emotion are just as important as technical ability. I love combining raw energy with thoughtful arrangements and finding ways to make the drums serve the song while still bringing intensity and personality.
Outside of performing, I spend countless hours writing, recording, producing, and developing my own music. I'm constantly searching for new sounds, refining my craft, and challenging myself creatively. What makes me tick is the pursuit of growth—both as a musician and as a person. I believe there is always something new to learn, a better performance to give, and a stronger connection to make through music.
Zildjian cymbals have been part of that journey because they consistently provide the sound, reliability, and character I need both in the studio and on stage. Being part of a company with such a rich history and legacy is something I deeply respect, and I'm proud to represent instruments that help me bring my musical vision to life.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

    Music has never been about recognition for me. It's about chasing a feeling that can't be explained any other way. Every time I sit behind a kit, I'm trying to capture something real whether that's anger, grief, determination, excitement, or the moments in between. Drumming taught me discipline, patience, and how to keep moving forward when things get difficult. It became an outlet, a voice, and eventually a purpose. The stage, the studio, the long drives, the endless hours of practice none of it feels like work when you're doing what you were meant to do. What inspires me most is growth. The idea that no matter how many shows I've played or songs I've recorded, there's always another level to reach. A better performance. A stronger song. A deeper connection with the people listening. The cymbals I choose are part of that expression. Every hit tells a story. Every performance is a chance to leave something behind that outlives the moment. That's what keeps me coming back the pursuit of creating something honest, powerful, and unforgettable. At the end of the day, I don't play drums because I'm good at it. I play because I can't imagine who I'd be without them.
