DETAILS
This limited edition Zildjian 400th Anniversary design celebrates the birth of jazz music and the role of Zildjian cymbals during that era. During the 1930s to 1950s, Avedis Zildjian was quick to embrace the talented musicians who were leading the jazz movement. Having been discriminated against during his own childhood as an Armenian living in Turkey, Avedis vowed there would be no place for discrimination at the zildjian.mompany. He worked closely with African-American artists like Chick Webb and Papa Jo Jones (who helped Avedis develop the HiHat). During this period of innovation the "Paper Thin Crash," "Ride," "Splash," "HiHat," and "Sizzle" cymbals were all developed and named by Avedis. To celebrate this rich time in Zildjian history, the Jazz design evokes the collaborative spirit and continuous movement of jazz music.

"I have been a Zildjian Client since sometime in the late 1950's. My first A Zildjian was an 18" medium ride. Birthday gift with the set to match. For all those years, I have been grateful to trust the sound of Zildjian with all the gigs I had and all the amateur playing I still get to do, even if only in my retirement garage"
"I'm a huge practice pad fan, and this is the perfect stick for that. Also, I am primarily a jazz player. These sticks work very well for swing beats and traditional grip. #sweepstakes"
"killer looking sticks. Got them for commemorative reasons. Likely won't use them so they don't get destroyed."
"Want something special to remember Zildjian's 400 year legacy, and their impact on the sound of jazz, then buy these sticks."
"relearning rudiments, starting from scratch"
"I've just been playing for myself, have been trying various types of sticks to see what I like best. I don't need to project beyond my living room and am not competing for attention of an audience."
"I will not be using these sticks, but wanted them as a 400th anniversary keepsake."
"Great addition to my stick collection. I have all Zildjian cymbals, some since 1965 including a 22 in. ride."
"Because these are the 400th anniversary sticks they are just going to be displayed."
